Prices are for a manuscript up to 90,000 words. Longer books and heavily illustrated interiors are quoted per title. Everything is payable in two halves: on start, and on delivery of final files.
Questions we get before signing
Who owns the finished files?
You do, on production work. Interior, cover, ebook and audio masters are delivered as source and export files and are yours to use anywhere, including with another publisher.
Do you take a royalty percentage?
Not on production. Royalties only exist under a publishing agreement, where we carry the cost and pay you on net receipts. The two are never mixed in one contract.
Do I need my own ISBN?
You need one per format if you want to own the imprint name. We will register and assign them for you, or work with numbers you already hold.
How long does it take?
Press-Ready runs two to three weeks. Full Imprint runs five to eight weeks depending on the edit. Audiobook adds two to four weeks after the interior is locked.
What if the printer rejects the cover?
We rebuild it at no charge and keep rebuilding until it passes. That is the whole point of the standard.
Can you work from a Word file?
Yes, and from Google Docs, Scrivener output, plain text or a PDF we have to reconstruct. Tell us what you have and we will tell you what it costs to bring it in.
